Are Some People Meant To Have Harder Lives?
One of the issues with many manifestation teachings is the oversimplification of why people’s lives are the way they are.
If you are struggling, this is thought of as being due to limiting beliefs, usually from childhood trauma.
However, something that rarely ever gets address is this: some people’s paths are genuinely harder than most, and not everything is merely a matter of beliefs.
I understand where people may get the idea that reality creation is just about our beliefs, since childhood trauma tends to template a person with a lot of negative subconscious programming. Also, people whose lives tend to be more challenging than the majority often have a lot of childhood trauma.
Why I don’t like the framing of life circumstances solely as a reflection of limiting beliefs, though, is that it tends to assume that the reason why a person’s life is more challenging than others is simply due to themselves.
There is not an acknowledgment that creating one’s ideal life isn’t going to be as easy for some people—not just because of themselves but because there are forces of evil actively working against them.
And the reason why people don’t like to acknowledge this in manifestation communities is because there is a rampant belief that we totally create our reality. They don’t want to believe there is such a thing as spiritual warfare, demonic beings, or evil because then that would burst their bubble that they are in control of everything.
Many them will even tell you, “Evil only exists if you believe it does” or “Evil only has power if you give it so in your mind,” which is not true at all.
Sure, a person can experience or see more misfortune and tragedy in the world if they focus too much on darkness—our attention is something we can control—but unfortunately, evil exists regardless of whether or not we want to believe it does.
As a result, people can be unfairly hard on themselves if they think they are not trying hard enough to shift their limiting beliefs, raise their vibration, etc. and are experiencing hardships when, in actuality, they are doing pretty good for what they are up against.
I think this is why concepts like chosen ones, starseeds, wanderers, empath, neurodivergent, and resonate deeply with those who have had an unconventional path. These concepts are not all the same, but in any case, they put language to people’s experiences to help them piece together why their life has been the way it has been. Unfortunately, these ideas often get distorted, but that is a subject for another piece.
Anyway, there are people who not just have to deal with their limiting beliefs but are specifically targeted more. This could be for a variety of reasons: perhaps they are whistleblowers, advocates, or simply pure souls whose energy signature is unlike those of the masses.
While most people may enjoy a relatively regular life, these individuals often have to endure more challenges in relationships, livelihood, and even health. For example, whereas a normal person may be able to work a regular 9-5 job without any issues, these individuals may constantly encounter opposition through NPCs. Although it could be seen as an issue of the person not being assertive enough, these cases are related to spiritual warfare.
So going back to the original question “Are some people meant to have harder lives?”
I personally think some people’s lives are harder, not just due to limiting beliefs but because they are a threat to the matrix system in some way. Additionally, I think it’s important to note that transforming our limiting beliefs is not always as simple as just thinking the positive opposite of them. Many limiting beliefs can even be unknown to us due to our deeper subconscious programming, some of which we don’t become aware of except through life experiences. There is also a divine order to our growth, which manifestation teachings don’t take into consideration, and this process can be longer depending on what spiritual lessons a person needs to learn.
However, where I would be careful with recognizing the difficulty of one’s life path is not to think of it as a prophecy of what one can experience in life.
The truth of the matter is, life may continue to be a constant struggle. But life might also become more fulfilling, beautiful, and vibrant. You cannot know unless you put in effort to change your life and keep pushing on despite adversities and trials.
I know it’s hard when you’ve experienced so much disappointment in life, but you can never go wrong with continuing to have hope and optimism. Don’t base your future on the past because God “can do a new thing” for you as well (Isaiah 43:19).
The main thing, though, is to trust in the Lord and have contentment through our relationship with Him. It can seem impossible, but only because the world conditions us to believe that our happiness solely comes from external circumstances.
So while I don’t know your future or making any predictions for your life, what I am saying is to keep persevering with everything you’ve got, because this is the force of the Holy Spirit working through you. God does not want us to live from a place of helplessness and passivity but in joy and faith.
